Due to the unstable gas pressure and gas production in some natural gas edge wells, the cost of laying natural gas pipelines and erecting power transmission lines is high. 

Therefore, a vehicle-mounted natural gas generator set is used to generate electricity at the wellhead to provide power to the CNG compressor and fill the wellhead gas into the CNG. Tank trucks, which transport CNG to the gas station, are an economical and efficient way to develop edge wells. The filled CNG tanker can also be injected into the natural gas pipeline network for a second time.

The CNG decompression skid also needs a gas generator set to supply power to heat and reduce the pressure of the CNG.
